The WBSS 2008 Dreaming Album in a series of recordings composed by Damian Robinson of Wicked Beat Sound System in conjunction with a variety of fantastic Australian Indigenous talent.
Dreaming was nominated for an Aria for “best Indigenous release’ that year.

The Dreaming album was originally a commissioned piece of work written by Damian Robinson. In 2001 Robinson was approached by Indigenous Artistic director Rhoda Roberts to compose the music for a Cleansing Ceremony she was directing called ‘Sydney Dreaming’ which was to be a theatrical adaptation of the rainmaker creation story. The themes revolve around Salt Water, Fresh Water and Desert, three dividing realities for aboriginal connection to country.

Performers on this CD include the songman Mathew Doyle and the Emma Donovan as well as many talented members of the Doonooch and Descendance groups.
Since that performance, variations of this music have been performed at several Festivals and Ceremonies including Woodford Festival and Perths International Arts festival, The Woggan Magule (Australia Day Ceremony),at various Woodford Festivals and at the opening of the 2006 Perth Internation Arts Festival.
